    Investing in deep tech 'Made in Europe'

    During this session, it shall be discussed the importance of investing in Deep tech and creating European made Deep Tech, the current state of play from both investments and start-ups point of view and how it was impacted by pandemics, most relevant European deep tech areas, the main barriers faced by European deep tech start-ups and how to overcome them, and how to foster a close collaboration between private and public funding for deep tech companies.

    Health and Biotech: Innovation potential of EIC beneficiaries through the eyes of experts from the bio-manufacturing and bio-investment world

    A biotech investment firm CSO and a bio-processing national center CEO meet two promising EIC beneficiaries from different stages of development (Pathfinder and Accelerator).

    Energy storage is a key enabler for the decarbonization of energy systems. It allows the massive use of intermittent renewable energy (wind, solar), the implementation of agile demand response strategies, while at the same time increasing the flexibility, resilience and sectoral coupling of energy systems.

    In this context, the ambitious targets of the EU for renewable hydrogen economy is to complement hydrogen with a renewable energy generation system.

    In this session, we will discuss emerging research and innovation trends in hydrogen storage, in the form of liquid or solid carriers, and explore the main technological, environmental, socio-economic and regulatory issues from the perspective of both the researchers and the investors.

    With the participation of key players of the whole innovation pathway, we will discuss the practical steps to scale up a breakthrough idea from lab to market.
